I am so far behind on up dating this thing. After our wedding my life got a little busy and poor Josh just had to go along for the ride.
Let me get you caught up on our life since March.
In early March I had spring break so Josh and I worked very hard to get our invitations done and ready to be sent out for the reception. I put them all together while Josh wrote on every invitation. What an amazing husband!
Our new nephew was also born so excited for Jess, Mitch, and Maddox to have a new family member (Welcome Grady Cleveland).
I helped my freshman plan the second annual St. Patty's day party, all the planning was worth it when my students were able to pull it off with little help from me on the day of the event. So proud of them.
We traveled to Ames for Easter this year so fun to hang out with Chris, Mark, Mitch, Jess, Maddox and Grady. We also helped Josh celebrate his birthday the big 32. That weekend we also got some bad news about a close friend of the Cleveland family.
After heading back I dropped Josh off at Jamie and Emily's so he could continue celebrating his birthday with his twin brother and also his little sister Stevi's birthday too. While I had to go to work. =(
The following weekend Josh headed home to a funeral of a close friend of the family. I couldn't go because I was in what we like to call at work "Gala Mode". Every spare minute of my day at work, nights, and weekends has been getting ready for the 2010 MLC GALA. (I think I'll pass on painting ANYTHING for awhile). It was sad not to be able to go be with Josh and his family, but happy that Josh was able to go and be with them.
This last weekend was our 7th annual GALA for work. For those of you that don't know it is a fund raiser for our school to raise money to help families with the tuition. This is an event that we start planning a week after the last GALA. A years worth of planning all for one amazing night.
My main job for this years GALA is to be in charge of all of the decorations including set-up and take-down. This is my fourth year doing decorations for the GALA, but my first year truly being in charge of all of the decorations. A lot of pressure, but I was up for the challenge. This is such an amazing day it is worth all of the hard work that we all put into it.
This year we had some unexpected changes 3 weeks before the Gala. We went from 425 people to 620 people (we were expecting 500). What an amazing change, but this meant I had to rethink decorations and make sure that we had enough center pieces for for 62 tables instead of the 50 that we had originally anticipated.
All of the stress was worth it when we received more then $220,000 net. Josh was such an amazing support and help during this process. He even took charge of helping make signs and put together decorations. He also volunteered to be a part of the event by being in charge of the cork pull, he was a spotter (which he told me he would be amazing at with all of his experience at the auction barn), and he helped people carry their items to their car. I don't know if I would have stayed sane without his support. Thanks baby I love you.
So I think that I have you all up today on what has been going on in our life for the last month and a half.

Note to self: don't ever plan a wedding, decorate a GALA for 600+, and plan a reception in less then 9 months. It gives you hives.
