Spartan Basketball

Hanging with Jared pre-game
Saturday we headed down to Iowa to watch my baby cousin play basketball.  I still can't believe that he is a sophomore in college already.  We are so glad he decided to move to Iowa from Colorado, so we actually go see him play.  Hopefully we get to see him again really soon.  Love that kid.  It was nice to see his friend Devin too (Jared has know him since they were in 6th grade)

Enjoying the game

Bo sure loved watching basketball, but she especially loved when they played music during time outs.  She also loved watching Jared every time he was playing she would say "go Jared" and when ever he wasn't playing she would ask "where Jared".

Poor Devin was so shaky after the game this is the best picture we got of all of us.

Bo wasn't so sure about being up so high

She sure did love Jared though.  (and so do we)

A Swing and a Miss
By now, you may be experiencing some mood swings as you think about the responsibilities associated with motherhood. If you are a Type A personality, you might be wondering how you’ll ever master the daily routine or learn to go with the flow. If you tend to worry about potential health issues, you may be thinking about all the things that could potentially go awry. You may even be fretting over gaining an appropriate amount of weight to sustain the pregnancy, but not so much that you’ll have trouble shedding the extra pounds after baby’s arrival. Not to worry—all of these feelings are normal and commonly experienced by first-time mothers, so don’t let them hold you captive. Go on a walk, listen to some soothing music, or light a scented candle to invoke a sense of calm and dissipate your fears.

This week has been great I have been tired, and getting so much better sleep then I did my first trimester.  I'm even actually starting to feel better, I just have a sore throat and my voice sounds obnoxious.  I tried so hard to cheer for my little (tall) cousin at his game, but it just hurt so clapping was the extent of my cheering.

So my baby belly is ever changing as I said in my last post, but I don't think I was able show you in the last post just how much.  These next two pictures are within a 12hr period of time.  (and no I am not pushing it out at all)

Bo week 15

Midwife appointment 15 weeks Baby #2

At 10 weeks I had gained 6 pounds, but at this appointment I was down 4 pounds.  Which essentially means I have only gained 2 pounds during this pregnancy.
I think it has a lot to do with me being sick and not being able to keep anything down.  However now that I can eat again, I'm sure that it will all come back quickly.

At 10 weeks my Blood Pressure was 104/66, and at this appointment it was down to 90/60. Which is great.  Now if it can stay low my whole pregnancy that would be great.

I decided to get my flu shot today. ( I haven't gotten one since I was 18, and I haven't had the flu since I was 18.)  However, after being so sick with my cold I really didn't want to risk getting the flu.  Especially with how quickly it has been spreading this year.  Better safe then sorry.

Baby #2 Heartbeat 150 beats per minute. Right on target.

The appointments always seem so pointless when everything is normal, but I love that they are normal.  I also LOVE hearing our babies heartbeat.
It just makes me feel better knowing that everything is fine.

Bo Update!

Bo has started to talk a lot more lately.  Even putting together 2-3 word phrases.  Like "tank you, mommy" after I give her things, or "I wuv you mommy (daddy, Pital, Titty)"  She will say Wiggly (Wrigley) when I ask her too, but mainly she calls her titty or mewo

She has really started repeating everything we say, so we have to be extra careful that she doesn't repeat something we really don't want her too.

She has really started to recognizes faces of family and can usually identify them, when I ask her "where's ..." she will point to the right person.  She calls every baby Ada though, which is really funny.  When ever she sees a picture of Ada, she says "my Ada", and gives her pictures kisses.

I really can't believe that our baby will be 2 years old in less then 2 weeks.  Oh how time flies.
Look at her sitting with her legs crossed a reading a book.
She also loves humus, too fun.

Baby
This week your baby's well-defined face can also make expressions like a squint or a frown. Some babies may even start growing hair on the head or on the face, such as eyebrows.

If your baby is a girl her eggs will have already developed inside her ovaries. If you're having a boy, his prostate gland is developing.
Body
By now, your waistline has expanded enough to fit into maternity clothes. Your uterus is just above your pubic bone, which makes your belly pooch out a little, making the presence of your baby all the more real.
You're officially starting your second trimester and you may notice your breasts feeling slightly less sensitive and your morning sickness continuing to diminish.
Baby #2 week 14

Baby #2 Week 14 at night

Baby #2 at Week 14 in the morning
I am so unsure that if because I haven't been feeling well or that I am simply having morning sickness, or the combo of them both.  Either way I threw up a couple times at work and a couple times in the morning before work.  Then a few times after I ate dinner.  I was really starting to worry about how me not keeping anything down was going to effect our precious gift.  So I called my midwifes nurse and she recommended That I take some medicine Robitussin, for my cough and some B6 for my throwing-up.  She also told me I could take Mucinex dm for my stuffy nose, but I decided not to and just use my nose spray to help with my stuffiness.

Once I started taking the B6, I started to eat everything in sight. I was just so excited to eat.  Now I'm back to eating normal and just excited to keep it all down.  Because let me tell you tater tots taste so much better when they don't come back up.

As you can see by the pictures above sometimes I look ubber pregnant, and other times I barely look pregnant at all.  One thing that hasn't changed throughout the day is my ginormous boobs.  I'm already wearing my nursing bras because they are the only ones that fit me.  With Bo I didn't get any new bras until I was around 5 months.  It's so different this time around.  I started to look pregnant so much faster then with Bo, but I don't feel pregnant with this one.  I literately forget all of the time, and what usually reminds me is how quickly I get tired out.
Overall, though this pregnancy has been fairly easy, and I am really enjoying the idea of Bo having a sibling.
