I can't believe I have to post this already, she just turned 6 months old. Bo has been working on crawling for several weeks now, but just couldn't quite get there. I turned around for one second and she was right behind me. I couldn't believe it, but she kept going. I grabbed the video camera, to document it, but I decided not to post that one. Instead I choose the video I took when Josh got to see her crawl for the first time.
She keeps trying to get Pistol's ball, and Pistol really doesn't know what he is suppose to do, too cute.
Oh boy, here we go!
I really need to start looking around the room and get stuff out of Bo's reach.
Moving positions (ie. transferring from one person to another, being put down, turning her around when she is trying to get something she should, laying her down to go to bed, etc.)
Luckily it only lasts a minute and she is happy again
I haven't posted anything about Bo in a while, so here goes.

Bo was so amazing on our trip, she fell asleep almost every time the car started to move, and she still slept through the night. She fell asleep almost every night at 9:30-10:00pm and woke up at 5:30am to eat then went right back to sleep until 7:30am. She loved looking out the big RV windows at the scenery. She also loved all of the attention she got when we stopped, and at the reunion. She is quite the little ham, she smiled at anyone that looked at her. When we were at Yellowstone several people asked if they could take her picture because she was so cute. We really didn't know what to say, but it sure made us proud parents.
Bo has really started to get this moving thing down. She can go backwards and roll to anything that she wants, but still can't get that going forward thing down, and boy does that make her mad. You definitely have to keep an eye on her.
She has also started eating solids, and she is loving it! So far she has tried: Rice cereal, bananas, and cream of wheat. So far her favorite is rice cereal. Next up is avocados, oatmeal, and mixed grains. My plan is to make as much of Bo's food as possible, and the only thing I have tried to make is the banana's. (I took frozen banana's defrosted them and blended them with my immersion blender and placed them into individual flower silicon mold (holds exactly 1T). Then I freeze them and defrost as needed. The flower shape makes them so much easier and faster to defrost when we want to use them.
We think she might be left handed, she has started to reach for anything, and usually she tries to grasp it with her left hand even if it is on her right side, often causing her to fall over.
Yesterday she started sitting up on her own, and is able to grab her toes without falling over.
She has also become quite the talker, she definitely lets you know that she is in the room.
Everything is going into her mouth, we have to keep a close eye on that especially when Pistol drops his ball for her to throw for him. He doesn't quite understand that she just doesn't have those fine motor skills yet. He sure does love her though.
We can't believe how fast time has gone, it feels like we just brought her home, and she will be 6 months old on Monday.
Every three years since 1999, we have our Ray & Gert Theis family reunion in Colorado, so this would making this our fifth Theis Family reunion.
There were 92, 85 family members, 4 angels, 2 foreign exchange students, and 1 friend
We were still missing 42 members of our family.
This is the second reunion that we were able to get the cabin that holds 100 people, we are hoping to get it again in 2014. We will most likely have to get another cabin in addition to that one the way our family keeps growing.
This was also the first time Josh got to meet 75% of the Theis', and he still wants to be married to me. He had a great time, I often couldn't find him because he was having to much fun with my family. =)
Every reunion we have a theme this years was German, to bad the only people that really knew German were the foreign exchange students from Germany. I was fun though getting to know more about our heritage. They also blew up pictures of my grandparents from their trip to Germany, it made me feel like they were there with us.
Day 1 of the Ray & Gert Theis Reunion
We had to wait to get inside until they were done cleaning, but we didn't mind because we were so excited to see everyone, and there was beer to be drank.
There were plenty of games to play outside, and great views to look at.

Family Picture Day
After pictures Bo and I headed to Bear lake with about 25 other family members and some others went for a long hike. Josh stayed back and played games.
Later that evening we had October Fest the kids did some dancing then headed to bed so the adults could start the beer tasting. 13 different kinds of beer, good thing I pumped before we started drinking because the portions were generous. We all had a great time.
We had a beer tasting contest were several people brought beers from were they were from.
There were 3 categories
Lager, Light Lager, and Ale
Lagers: Yuengling Traditional Lager, Shiner Bock, St. Pauli Girl, Grain Belt Premium, & Miller Genuine Draft
Ales: Fat Tire Belgian Ale, Schell's Zommerfest, Summit Extra Pale Ale, and Hub City Brown Ale
Our job was to determine what beer it was and rate it on how much we liked it. Then there were winners for each category and for the person with the closest average on the ratings.

Day 3 of the Ray & Gert Theis Reunion
In the morning several people went horse back riding, mini golfing, and Zack went white water rafting, While Josh and I stayed back and just hung out with the family.
Minute to Win It.
We signed up for groups of 5 or more and we played several minute games
1. Toss your cookies:
The first one to get an oreo cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands
2. Tea Party
There were 2 tea bags hanging from a hat, and you had to get them both on top of your hat
3. Flippin Flapjacks
Get a pancake from the flipper on your foot to the plate on your head
4. Junk in the trunk
Tie a tissue box with 4 ping pong balls in it and try to get all four of them box anyway possible
5. Hang in there
Tie a rope with a wood stick hanging from it and see who the first one to get it into a milk jug.
6. Stick it to ya
Get ALL of the cotton balls from one plate to the other before anyone else
7. Bunghole Fooder
The first one to unroll the toilet paper roll one handed.
8. Pyramid Scheme
Stack 9 cups up and put them back into a a pile before anyone else
9. Feed my Face
Feed 5 spoon full of pudding to your partner, while being blindfolded.
Josh and I were on separate teams, but neither of our teams won, but at least my team didn't cheat
(not mentioning any names...Dad)
There was a tie breaker were all 5 team members had to run with an egg on their spoon down the hill around the benches and back to their teammate.

After dinner Josh, Bo and I took a short hike, but the altitude was a bit much for Josh so we headed back.
That night was sad because we all knew it would be our last night. Many people stayed up late to play games, but I headed to bed. I really wanted to stay up, but all the fresh air wore me out.
Day 4 of the Ray & Gert Theis Family Reunion
We woke up to Elk playing in our Volleyball and Basketball courts (about 50 feet from the cabin)
Just a little bit of everything
Thanks Linda & Kathy for all your hard work, and all those that helped along the way to make this so memorable. What a great reunion, I am so glad that we went, and can't wait to do it again in 3 years.
We headed home, and drove as far as Columbus NE the first night, watching fireworks go off along the way. What a great way to travel. Then the next morning we got up and looked at a park that celebrated veterans of WWII, Koren War and Vietnam. It was quite the memorial.
Thanks Mom an Dad for making this trip so memorable for our little family.
Day five of our trip and day two of Yellowstone we again headed into the park through the West Entrance and did the lower loop
We stopped and saw the upper and lower falls, then traveled 8,000 ft down to view the Lower falls from below. It was amazing, Josh, Dad, and I made it all the way down, while Kevin, mom and Bo waited on top. It is defiantly a must see, but make sure that you have healthy lungs and heart. We were making fun of the people on the way down that were coming back up, but when we had to come back up we weren't laughing anymore.
Then we headed to Artists Point were we caught up with Paul Marilyn and Eva, Bo and Mom were way to hot to enjoy the view, but we took lots of pictures for them.
Then off to Painters Pot, which at first appeared to be 1/3 mile hike, but once you got to the top and were able to see the fabulous view.
Then down to Old Faithful, it was worth the wait.
After we saw Old Faithful BLOW, we headed out of the park and down to the Grand Tetons. We didn't stop and see much in the Grand Tetons but the view was amazing.
We got to see a lot of animals along the way.
Dad and Josh drove through most of the night and we spent the night in the Walmart parking lot in Rock Springs WY. (who knew you could stay over night in the Walmart parking lot, but there were several other RV's and Semi-trucks there)
Then we headed straight to Eaton CO and saw my cousin Scott, and his family. After that we headed to Wheaton to see Josh's great uncle Jim and his wife Chabby. We also got to see Zac and Jim Jr. as well which was a great surprise.
Then that evening we headed to Denver to see my Uncle Tom and Aunt Charlene.
The next morning we headed down to the Garden of the Gods and West Pueblo to see the Theis' that have already gotten to Colorado.

Then when we got back to Denver my sister and her girls arrived shortly after.
Bo finally got to meet the last of her first cousins, and they love her.
