Crafty Homemaker

I wasn't feeling well Friday, so I stayed home from work.  Bo still went to daycare, and I got some much needed sleep which helped me feel 100% and crafty.

So I crafted

Felt board and Felt pieces to put on it (I'm really proud of the Mr. & Mrs Potato heads)

The first one just wasn't quite big enough so I made another one in cream that is much bigger

Then we played with home-aid play dough (a gift from one of my students parents)

Bo's first pumpkin from our garden, look how perfect it is

Not sure if Bo or the pumpkin has more paint on them

Then I decided to cook this weekend too

Dutch Baby Pancakes

Crook-pot Chicken (butter, Italian dressing and lemon juice)

We also re-arranged Bo's room and the basement. 

We needed to get the potty chair out of the closet that the TV was in front of, time for Bo to start getting use to seeing it out.  No were not ready for potty training, we are going to wait until she moves to the other side at daycare otherwise potty training will be pointless.  However, that time will be here before we know it and I want her to start seeing it.

 

Monkeys and Bikes oh my

This last weekend, we finally got around to putting the monkey decals on the wall in Bo's room that we bought what seems like forever ago.

They turned out so cute, but it was not even close to being as easy as the other decals we have put on our walls.  Thank God for Josh's attention to details and desire to not give up.

On Sunday we finally busted out the bikes and the bike trailer that my sister sent home with us from our trip to Colorado last July.

I think Bo might actually still be a little small for her, the shoulder straps were more like ear warmers, but she was so cute in it, and it was so nice to go for a bike ride with the family.

  

Thanks Cathie and Ed for the awesome bike trailer, we can't wait to use it again soon.

Daddy Droc decides to share his "man cave" plus daycare.

With Bo finding her own way to travel we have had to start moving everything UP and make sure that there are "safe" place for her to play that don't include, wires, plugs, dog toys, or dog dishes.

We had to go get baby gates for all over the house and we even had to move her crib down because she is pulling herself up on everything.  It is adorable, but very scary because now we have to keep a very close eye on her.

Josh decided he wanted to share his basement with his baby girl.

It's nice to have a place for her to play that we don't have to worry about plug-ins, electrical cords, dog toys, or any other non-baby friendly materials.  Plus she loves all of her toys all in one place.

On another note, Bo started her first week of daycare this week at Apple Seed Montessori School and Daycare in Richfield. It was awesome.  I was so proud of myself for not crying when I left her there.  The daycare loves her there, and says that she plays really well with all of the kids, she is eating well and takes great naps.  I think all of her playing is wearing her out though because she went to bed at 7:00pm three nights this week, and I had to wake her up at 7:00am to get her ready for daycare.  I think I can get use to this sleeping thing.

Last weekend after we got back from Ames, we came home to this.

All of the Hydrangeas are gone.  (don't worry they'll grow back)

We have a garden (Mom and I planted onions, chives, pumkins, cucumbers, peas, peppers, radishes, spinich, and lettuce already)

Our rasberries, and compost pile.  You can actually see to the road.

It's starting to come together!

Let me start with an apologize for the sucky quality of the pictures.  I still have not uncovered the charger for my camera therefore we get pictures from my phone.

We are getting closer to getting the painting done in the house and we finally get to start to add pictures and little touches of us to our home.

Dinning room paint is done, just need to bring in the table from the garage, and get rid of the paint supplies.



Bo's closet, it's so fun to just look at it and imagine her in the little outfits.
 (Sometimes I catch Josh just staring in the closet)



Bo's room just needs a little more decorations on the wall and maybe a rug. 
Otherwise it is all ready for our baby girl to come home.

 

Our stove finally came, but we decided to return the microwave because it didn't quite fit the way we wanted it to.



Living room still needs a couch, but it that will come with time. 
We are waiting to take the tree down until Chris and Mark are able to come up so we can celebrate Christmas with them.



Painting is fun!

Josh painted the whole kitchen then this happened when the tape came off.

New Fridge, Microwave/Vent, & Stove

Fits perfect!

First finish painting, put fridge where is belongs, then install the microwave/vent, (that is still in the box), right above the stove that is coming next week.

Moving and Painting

This weekend we had a lot of help moving and painting our new home.

Our New Home

We love it

Friday Dec 11th 2010 we closed on our very first home.

With lots of looking and worrying about if we could make ends meet with a new home, it was finally over and we became home owners.  I can say this ranks in the top three best things I have ever done.  We have been so blessed this year.  Our wedding, a baby on the way, and now a place to bring her home too.  Life can't get any better then this.

 First thing we did was get up our Christmas tree.  I was really sad that we couldn't put it up right after Thanksgiving like we usually do, but it was so worth it when we put it up in our new home.

 Our first night in our house we got hit with a true Minnesota blizzard.  (Between 18-20in), good thing we bought shovels.

Luckly we have an amazing new neighbor that let us borrow his snowblower.



I have such an amazing husband not only does he shovel for us, he also painted Bo's whole room for us. 

I think it looks amazing, he did such a wonderful job.
