Week Nine:
Baby
Baby Size: .9in / green olive
Baby Weight: less then .07 oz
This week the embryonic tail disappears. The hands and feet look a lot less like paddles and have more formed fingers and toes. These changes give your baby's head shape. Your baby's head is still larger then the rest of the body and the eyes are fully developed, but are covered by eyelids which are fused shut for the next 16 weeks or so.
Inside your baby's body the internal reproductive organs, testes or ovaries, are starting to form but will not be quite distinguishable until the next couple weeks.
What they say my body should be doing and feeling:
Even as your waistline expands you still won't look pregnant. However, one of the most dramatic changes during pregnancy is your blood volume. You will create approximately 50% more blood, your body's way of helping your uterus grow as well as carry more oxygen and nutrients to your baby. More blood means your heart is working harder to pump it through your body and your blood vessels will dilate faster and you might find yourself short of breath more often.
My Body:
I started to feel better this week, but because of all of the traveling I was tired, but couldn't sleep very well. Which made even more tired. I was also surprised how much I had to sit down when we went to Longwood Garden's I am usually such a go go go person, it was hard to have to rest so much. There were multiple times that I just ran out of breath, really weird to me. I also didn't get as many pictures as I normally get because I was just plain tired. We still had a great time though.
I have also noticed I am much more emotional. After we left Longwood I went to the gift shop to get some postcards, and Cathie headed out to the car (with all the rest of my stuff). I bought my stuff and headed out to the van, but it wasn't were we left it. I walked the parking lot 3 times, and couldn't find the car. I didn't even remember what color it was, I started to cry (not something I would normally cry about). Mind you that Cathie took my stuff. I finally found the van, what seemed like an hour later. At this point I was crying like a baby. I got in the car and the girls were so concerned. I found out they had to move the van because there was an accident. I think I need to make a note to NEVER leave any were from Cathie at Longwood without my cell phone. (If you don't know last time I was at Longwood I lost Cathie too, and she had my phone that time too.) I will end with a funny story. When we were in Cleveland I got out of the van to take a picture of the Hard Rock Cafe guitar and Cathie started backing up the car to get a off the rode. Roxxie started yelling Mommy don't move the car we don't want Chrissy to cry again.
