Changing of the guard

Ashley had her baby, so we had to say good-bye to Julia so she could take over for Ashley at work.  The girls loved her, and she will have to come over and visit soon.
Julia's last day
With Julia having to leave us to work full time at M.L.C. Grandma came to take over.  My mom got here on the 16th, and we had a great time hanging out with her.

Grandma got me a HUGH cookie
We also got to celebrate mom's birthday while she was here, which is something we haven't gotten to do in a really long time so it was really nice to be able to celebrate her special day with all of us.  My grandma, and great aunt were also able to make it, which I'm sure my mom loved having her own mom there to celebrate with her too.

We got a lot done while mom was here too.
We went shopping and got supplies to fix the curtains, to reorganize the kitchen cabinets, and touch-up the bathroom.
We took them off the hooks, got rid of the cord, took out the pleats and made pockets, so they can just slide on the rods

We changed out the curtains in the dining room
(I didn't think anyone would want to see pictures of our kitchen cabinets or the new rug in our bathroom)

We also put new carpet in the basement, but I will save that for the next post.

We have a blog?

Where has the time gone?

There are so many things that have happened since the last time I posted in our blog.  Between, work, Bo being sick, and just everyday life our blog took a back burner.  I will try to catch you up, so be prepared to see lots of pictures and videos of what has been going for the last 3 weeks of our life.

Here we go...
We finally put up the growth chart
Bo got hand, foot, and mouth disease, and was out of day care for  a week along with 11 other kids from daycare
...and grew a pair of extra large feet

I created the most delicious dip I have ever had (recipe to follow)
Jenn, Ashley, & I went away for a night with our students (first night away from Bo with out Josh)
Bo had chocolate pudding for the first time
We went to Ash's first communion
We celebrated Sawyer's 7th birthday
We watched Max blow out his seven candles

And gave Ash our love for his first communion
Bo started talking on the phone (but only when no one is talking on the other end, hehehe)

Bo also moved to the toddler room at day care last Monday (5/7/12), and she loves it
(sorry no pictures of this milestone)

I was home sick for two days before the doctor called me back to tell me that my negative strep test was actually a positive for strep throat, two amazing pills later (plus ten more days of pills of course), I started to be back to normal just in time to celebrate Mother's Day with our Family.
Bo played fetch with her dog in the back yard
Bo gave me love for mother's day
We shared chocolate
Pistol stayed cute
Bo got good at climbing onto chairs
We finished planting our vegetable garden
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Teeth and RSV

Bo 4th and 5th teeth finally broke through

Bo has also been really sick these last couple of weeks.  She continued to have the double ear infection even with the antibiotics, and she started having a very raspy breathing.  We ended up taking her in and finding out that she had RSV, and we had to keep her out of daycare for several day's because it was contagious.  Luckily her oxygen levels were in the normal range (93%),so we got to take her home.  If she would have been any lower though we would have had to admit her to the hospital.  However, with the nebulizer treatment (this experience was so sad because Bo cried the whole time), she seemed to get better.  We ended up keeping her home until my Christmas break.

She has been feeling so much better lately, she has even been walking all over the place.  I think her equilibrium is finally normal again, making it so much easier to keep her balance.

On another note I will leave you with a couple fun pictures.
Check out her new play area floor in the basement (she got to open her Christmas present early this year.)
She loves to put her head on your head

And some art work from daycare!

Daycare

Bo has been waving bye-bye to everything lately, but even more recently actually waving bye-bye to me when I drop her off at daycare.
It is so fun to see her develop these skills.

Our Daycare is awesome!
We get a sheet everyday from daycare, with timelines of what and when she ate, drink, slept, diaper changes, comments, and anything we need to remember to bring the next day.  So, as I was looking over her sheet today, I noticed a comment on the side next to her super porridge "Puckered mouth and waved good-bye to the porridge".  I busted out laughing it was so funny.

We have slowly been trying to introduce Bo to her super porridge, and I'm not quite sure if she likes it or not.  I think she really just isn't used to the grainy texture.  I think she will get use to it, and learn to love it as we add more textures to her palette.
