Pyper's First Birthday Party

We celebrated Pyper's first birthday in true Fourth of July style.  Luckily we did an independence themed Gala a few years back, so we had lots of Red White and Blue decorations that we borrowed for the day. It was a beautiful day, and we were so excited to have everyone that was able to make it there.

That evening we set off fire crackers the backyard while we sat around the fire, great way to end Pyper's birthday party.

Pyper’s 12 month milestones:

X Says one word other then mama and dada
X Imitates others sounds and activities (especially Bo's)
X Pulls off socks (however because it is summer she does not wear them often)
X Stands well, may begin walking (stands often, takes up to twelve steps, but won't do it when we want her too)
_ Uses exclamations like "Uh, Oh!"
X Begins to use objects correctly

Any big changes that occurred:

• Pyper has started to take steps, but is very cautious, and will not "preform" for anyone.  She will also only do this once a day, then you are done.  You love to crawl and would much rather do that then walk for anyone.
• You have started to sleep consistently though the night 

Pyper's favorites:

·Toys: Soccer balls,

·Food: Ravioli, Pasta, Tomatoes, Rice, Chicken, Oatmeal

·Books: Anything Bo is reading, but especially touch and feel books

·Song: Frozen songs, Disney Songs

Our thoughts about the past month:
You are such a happy baby, I can't believe you are one already.  You're personality is starting to shine through.  We often find you doing something you are not suppose to be doing, and when we say no Pyper you often turn around and flash your Mater grin, then turn right back around and do it again. You are really testing your limits and want to follow Bo and Pistol around every where.  You play fetch with him often and he loves sitting by you when you eat because you are always willing to share every other bite of your food with him.   Pistol is also a big fan of you and walks in with me every night to put you to sleep.  If I accidentally don't latch the door, I often find Pistol in there checking on you.  If you make a peep in your bed and we don't get up right away he often gives us the look of why are you not getting her. Bo is also always concerned about you and often reminds us not to forget you.  You are loved our darling baby girl.

You are such a sweet little girl your smile is contagious and your laugh is infectious.  You love life and you remind us to love our life even more.  You are a stubborn child and I think you will be our little clown.  We are loving watching your personality grow and can't wait to see how you will become.
