Tuesday night I noticed some water on the floor in the basement, so I called Josh down stairs to help investigate. My first reaction was to start moving everything and pulling up carpet. While Josh was more concerned about figuring out the source so we could stop more water from coming. (such a level headed thinker he is). We determined that the mainline that goes to the street had backed up, and the water had gone all the way into the laundry room from the main line. Thank goodness we have an amazing neighbor that happens to have access to an industrial strength snake to clear out the drain. It turns out we had some roots in the line. Something we will have to keep an eye on. We are also going to need to get an updated cap, so if it happens again it will come up in the laundry room instead and we will be able to clean it up faster and not have to tear up the carpet again.
On a more positive note, I have always HATED the ugly orange carpet downstairs and have wanted to tear it up since the day we moved in.

Josh ended up staying home Wednesday and Thursday to tear-up the UGLY carpet and put down the new carpet. We ended up going with carpet squares you peel off the back and just stick down. We decided that because it was the basement, if this happened again we could just peel up that section and replace the damaged tiles instead. We also bought an extra box of each color so we would have them if we needed them. (They were on sale this week too, so it worked out great.) Josh did an amazing job in a short amount of time.

Ashley had her baby, so we had to say good-bye to Julia so she could take over for Ashley at work. The girls loved her, and she will have to come over and visit soon.

With Julia having to leave us to work full time at M.L.C. Grandma came to take over. My mom got here on the 16th, and we had a great time hanging out with her.

We also got to celebrate mom's birthday while she was here, which is something we haven't gotten to do in a really long time so it was really nice to be able to celebrate her special day with all of us. My grandma, and great aunt were also able to make it, which I'm sure my mom loved having her own mom there to celebrate with her too.

We got a lot done while mom was here too.
We went shopping and got supplies to fix the curtains, to reorganize the kitchen cabinets, and touch-up the bathroom.
We took them off the hooks, got rid of the cord, took out the pleats and made pockets, so they can just slide on the rods

We also put new carpet in the basement, but I will save that for the next post.
The Dr. B said that Pyper has a herniated belly button,
but he told me know to worry about it, and it will heal on it's own.
Pyper got all of her 2 month vaccines; three were shots and one
was oral. The shots made her VERY angry, but she stopped crying as soon
as I picked her up. Bo gave her kisses, but almost started crying too because she was so sad for her sister.

Pyper's routine:
Wake up at 3:30 am to feed and get changed
Go back to bed by 4:00 am
Wake up between 7:30-8:00am feed and get changed
Eats again at 9:30-10:00 needs a couple diaper changes
Takes a power nap from 10:00/10:30 - 11:00/11:30
Eats around 11:45 then goes down for a couple hour nap
1:00-2:00 wakes up to eat and get changed
2:00-4:00 plays
4:00-5:00 eats diapers changed
5:00-6:00 cuddle with daddy time
6:00-6:15 Feed when mommy gets home
7:30-8:30 goes down for the night
(Currently sleeps for about 6 hours stretches, if I feed her at 12:00am she will sleep though the night. I have only done that a couple of times because I can't stay awake that late.)

Going on week vacation with the Cleveland's you had a lot of firsts on this trip.
Firsts: Road Trip, Meeting Auntie Stevi, Uncle Chad, and your cousins Van and Crosbi, wearing a swimsuit, trip to the beach, pontoon ride, sleeping away from home, and time with all of the Cleveland.

Our thoughts about
the past month:
Each day with you gets easier as we slowly figure out our routine, as well as you have really started to become more consistent in your eating and sleeping habits. You are also starting to be less gassy and are OK with sitting by yourself for longer then 30 seconds. You are becoming more aware of what is around you and are content just watching your sister run around the room. However, if we leave you alone in a room you remind us with a loud yell, it doesn't sound angry just loud, and as soon as we come back into the room you are quiet again. You are not going to be left out of the fun and you will make sure we know about it. We can tell you are going to be a thumb sucker too, you try so hard to get your thumb in your month but it just isn't quite big enough for you. Soon enough sweetheart, so enough.
Literally they day after our family got back from our family vacation I went back to work. I love my job which made going back so much easier. I also felt a lot better about leaving Pyper home with daddy alone then I did with Bo (new mom control freak and all.) Although I am back to work with Pyper being just over 6 weeks old, I am only going back part time until a week shy of her being three months old. It has been really nice getting up with the girls when ever they decide
to roll out of bed, and to just hanging out with them. We really have
had the best of both worlds, quality time with my girls and adult time
at work.

We have been lucky enough to have all of our daycare plans fall into place for us too. We have had a part-time nanny for the 3 hour difference between me going to work and Josh coming home. We are so happy that our girls love, Julia and she loves the girls too, and I love when Bo asks when is Julia coming again. Makes me going back so much easier. However, because Julia is my co-worker and great at that job too, she has been asked to take over for Ashley when she goes on maternity leave. Which leaves us in a pinch for a week or two depending on when Ash goes into labor. Which means my mom will be filling in until our full-time nanny can start when I go back full-time. Our dear friend, and old roommate Laurie has accepted our offer to becoming our nanny, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. The girls know and love her, and she is willing to work around my work schedule and times off.
