Wake-up time

I have been trying to get this video of Bo coming out of her swaddler for weeks, and I finally got it.

 I LOVE IT!

More visitors

My friends Marsha, Ron and their kids (Dominic, Annie, and Hunter) came to visit Bo.  They have been trying to get over here since she was born and things kept coming up, like SNOW.  We were so excited to finally have them over to meet Bo and see the house.

Van time!

Bo was so excited to finally get to meet her cousin Van, and Aunt Stevi and Uncle Chad.  She has been looking forward to this for a long time.

It was so fun to watch Van and Bo lay next to each other and just kick away.

More visitors and already 4 weeks old

My aunt Linda came to visit from Colorado, so my aunt Kathy brought her over to visit Bo and I.
I love when Bo gets to meet more of her family.
It just makes me more excited for July when she gets to meet the rest of her Theis' extended family at the Theis family reunion in Colorado.
Bo's great aunt Linda

Linda also brought the most amazing quilt for Bo.
I LOVE IT.
I think we might actually hang it on the wall because it is so beautiful.
Also on the bottom of the quilt in the red border you can see see what was written.
"The Birth of Bo Allison Cleveland January 25, 2011 Quilted by Aunt Linda Beauchamp Pueblo West Colorado #3"
(#3 because this is the 3rd quilt she has made).
Bo is so lucky to have such a wonderful and talented great aunt.

She is also moving so much, and it is so fun to just watch her.

Some of Bo's favorite things

Bo thought she would share some of her favorite things with pictures and a video.
It takes me a little while to warm up to the video camera, so keep watching and ignore the TV in the background, I was listening to my musical bee.

One Year Anniversary!

We celebrated our one year anniversary on Saturday because we were going to be headed to Sauk on Sunday to celebrate my Grandma Warners 85th birthday.
It was great to go out to dinner with just Josh and I, but we both really missed our baby girl.  We knew she was in great hands with my cousin Holly and her man Kyle, but it was my first time away.  Very weird even though it was only for a couple of hours and we were only 5 min. away.  We are so blessed to have each other and all of the things we have been able to recieve in the last year.  We love our life!

I found this today, and I thought it only appropriate way to celebrate our one year anniversary.

The history of Valentine
The story of St. Valentine has two different versions - the Protestant and the Catholic one. Both versions agree upon Saint Valentine being a bishop who held secret marriage ceremonies of soldiers in opposition to Claudius II who had prohibited marriage for young men and was executed by the latter. During the lifetime of Valentine, the golden era of Roman empire had almost come to an end. Lack of quality administrators led to frequent civil strife. Education declined, taxation increased and trade witnessed a very bad time. The Roman empire faced crisis from all sides, from the Gauls, Slavs, Huns, Turks and Mongolians from Northern Europe and Asia. The empire had grown too large to be shielded from external aggression and internal chaos with existing forces. Naturally, more and more capable men were required to to be recruited as soldiers and officers to protect the nation from takeover. When Claudius became the emperor, he felt that married men were more emotionally attached to their families, and thus, will not make good soldiers. He believed that marriage made the men weak. So he issued an edict forbidding marriage to assure quality soldiers.

The ban on marriage was a great shock for the Romans. But they dared not voice their protest against the mighty emperor. The kindly bishop Valentine also realized the injustice of the decree. He saw the trauma of young lovers who gave up all hopes of being united in marriage. He planned to counter the monarch's orders in secrecy. Whenever lovers thought of marrying, they went to Valentine who met them afterwards in a secret place, and joined them in the sacrament of matrimony. And thus he secretly performed many marriages for young lovers. But such things cannot remain hidden for long. It was only a matter of time before Claudius came to know of this "friend of lovers," and had him arrested.

It is also weird to think that I started this blog a year ago as well.
I have enjoyed documenting our life's journey and being able to share it with all of you along the way.

Her doctor told me that she was doing great and we don't have to come back until her two month check-up.

Two weeks old!

Bo is already two weeks old and hasn't changed so much, but we are defiantly adjusting to being parents.  The feeds are becoming more natural, and consistent, as are her sleep patterns.

Josh went back to work yesterday, and I had to get use to taking care of her by myself.  The first day was a little hard because she didn't sleep for more then a half an hour at time until daddy came home.  I think she missed him.  Today was much better though she was back on her regular sleep schedule, and I got some much needed sleep, and I was even able to do the dishes.  It's amazing the little things that get you excited as a new parent.

It is also amazing how the things I worried about when I was pregnant with her that seem to just come naturally to me now.  I love every minute of being a mother, and love every minute of watching Josh be a father.  We work great as a team, and I think that having Bo in our life has only brought us closer.

Bo 2 weeks old

Daddy Droc

Josh decided to grow his hair and beard out while I was pregnant, with the promise that he would shave it after Bo was born.   I convinced him to get a hair cut before she was born, but he changed his mind about the beard as her due date approched.  He told me he was going to wait until Baseball season started.  I was so sad, his beard was getting out of contol.  He looked like a homeless man, maybe even like Grizzley Adams.

Notice Bo's fingers
Then when Bo was just 9 days old, Josh decided to shave, I think its because Bo liked to grab on and pull, but Josh says he it was just because he was getting sick of it.  Either way, I am glad to have my adorable husband back.
Love it, and so does Pistol

One week old!

Our baby is already a week old, and has already changed our world.
We love every minute of it.
